This quality 3 inch brush features a hook that is molded into the handle.  The hook allows you to hang the brush on the lip of crocks, pots and other containers preventing damage to the brush such as bristle burn or melting from resting against the bottom of a hot pan.  The hook keeps the brush within quick reach preventing it from sinking to the bottom of your pot or pan.  When the brush is laid on a counter top the hook elevates the brush keeping the bristles and the counter clean and free from contamination.  The brush contains double-boiled, bleached and sterilized premium Boar bristles that are molded into the handle to prevent bacteria harboring air pockets.  Natural Boar's Hair bristles can withstand a higher heat and transfer more liquid than nylon brushes
